Welcome to MARM Limited ("MARM")

MARM is the self-management company for the following residences on Memorial Avenue, E15, which are situated near to West Ham Station and are known as the Development.

This website is for both the lessees and residents of Memorial Avenue and aims to be your first port of call for management information and to report any issues concerning the Development.

There are currently five directors on the Board who are ultimately responsible for the management of MARM. The Estate Manager, Nikki Willett AICB, undertakes the day-to-day running of the Development. MARM engages two consultants to assist in the business of MARM who report directly to the Board of Directors on a regular basis.

The aim of this website is to allow easy access to the team involved in the day to day running of the Development and to answer some of the regular questions posed by residents and lessees. In addition to this service we have teamed up with some local providers to give you easy access to their services.

The Directors

Derek Brown – Derek has been a lessee on the estate for 12 years and has been actively involved in the running of MARM for the last 9 years as a director. Derek runs several successful businesses and this brings immense strengths to the Board especially in assisting the transition to self-management in December 2005.

Yvonne Kumi - Yvonne has been a lessee on the estate for 7 years and has been actively involved in the running of MARM for the last 5 years as a director. As a resident lessee Yvonne is able to ensure that Nikki, David and the maintenance team are kept up to date on the ground.

Ruth Angus – Ruth joined the Board of Directors just prior to MARM taking over self-management and has been a lessee on the estate for 6 years. As a resident lessee Ruth undertakes regular inspections of the estate with David ensuring that problems and improvements are identified. Together they work with the rest of the team ensuring the management of remedial works MARM will need to undertake over the coming months and years.

Caroline Preece – Caroline also joined the Board of Directors just prior to MARM taking over self management and has been a lessee for 6 years. Caroline is closely involved with local Crime Steering Groups and Tenant Groups ensuring that Memorial Avenue remains a priority area that the Police and Council in their monitoring of Anti-Social behaviour and Crime, and with our co-operation the implementation of strategies to combat these behaviours.

Maureen McLellin – Maureen is our newest director and has been a lessee for 20 years. Having worked in local authority for many years Maureen assists Nikki and David by liasing with Newham Council on issues such as rubbish collections and fly tipping.

Consultants

We have two consultants to MARM, both are lessees and former directors of MARM. Brian Simpson provides strategic and operational input to Nikki, our solicitors and accountants. David Cohen provides support in the day to day running of the Development with Nikki and organises the maintenance aspect of the estate.

Estate Manager – Nikki Willett AICB – Nikki is also MARM’s Company Secretary and runs the Development on a day-to-day basis. As a lessee or resident you may well have already had contact with Nikki as she will be your first point of contact in most cases. David and Nikki have worked together for many years and David introduced Nikki to MARM three years ago during MARM’s transition to self-management.
